Apply For Canada Summer Jobs in DVW
The Canada Summer Jobs Program has proved to be one of the most successful ways to connect young people in Don Valley West with meaningful summer employment. Through this program, the federal government provides funding of up to 100% to not for profit organizations and up to 50% for small businesses and private sector organizations.
It is one of my most rewarding tasks as the Member of Parliament to directly impact these organizations by distributing over $1.8 million in federal funding to hire youth.
This year, over 440 jobs will be offered by a diverse range of nearly 100 organizations in the riding. Some of the employers are small businesses hoping to rebuild and recover from the pandemic. Others are service organizations, which assist people with disabilities or which provide services to vulnerable people or to senior citizens.
There are many opportunities for enthusiastic and energetic students who want to be day camp leaders or camp counsellors.
To all the youth between 15 and 30 years of age, I encourage you to consider one of the many organizations who will provide you with skills, mentorship and most of all, a memorable work experience this summer.
All the jobs offered through Canada Summer Jobs in Don Valley West will be posted on www.jobbank.ca starting on April 25, 2022.
