On Sunday March 27th we witnessed a horrific terrorist attack in Lahore, Pakistan. A suicide bomb was detonated in Gulshan-e-Iqbal Park which killed 69 people and injured more than 341 others. Many of those who were injured and killed were women and children, some celebrating Easter.
Thank you to the friends and colleagues who joined me in Thorncliffe Park, Saturday April 2nd, to remember the victims of this attack, reminding ourselves of the importance of standing against violence and terrorism and affirming the importance of friends, family, community and our shared Canadian values.
