When the Sun goes down this evening, Jews around the world will begin the observation of Yom Kippur, the Day of Atonement, the holiest day in the Jewish calendar.
Yom Kippur is a time for repentance and renewal for Jewish communities and individuals in Don Valley West, across this country and around the world. Tomorrow, Jews will gather together to fast and pray. It will be my pleasure to gather with friends at Temple Emanu-El as they reflect on the year behind them and look to the year ahead, praying for peace and happiness.
My wishes for an easy fast for all those observing Yom Kippur. G’mar Chatimah Tova.
Sincerely,
Rob Oliphant, M.P.
