Congratulations to LG Elizabeth Dowdeswell, Fred Roberts Photography Workshops, Aga Khan Museum, and young photographers from Thorncliffe Park and Flemingdon Park on an evocative photo exhibit pushing us to fulfill the UN Sustainable Development Goals. It is very inspiring to see young people take on a leadership role in promoting a more just, innovative and environmentally conscious Canada. I am proud of the engaging presentation by these youth on an incredibly important global strategy.
I appreciate the contributions of three incredible Don Valley West organisations to support this exhibit and help build young leaders in our community. Thank you. Young Canadians are justifiably concerned about the effects climate change will have on their future. I am excited about our government’s new clean growth and climate action plan and its creation of the biggest drop in pollution in the history of Canada’s emissions reporting. We can’t stop here. Canada must continue to be a leader in emissions reductions and inspire the rest of the world to follow suit.
